DON'T post these items on HIS Facebook page this holiday season...
Being friends with your boyfriend on Facebook can be tricky business. There is a whole set of rules on posting and liking that every girlfriend should know about, or you just might find yourself single for the holidays! Follow these rules ladies, and don’t post this on his Facebook:
- “Miss you,” “Love you,” or any other over sentimental phrases: It might be true, but why do you need to post it for everyone to see? Send him a text or call him and tell him how much you care about him, but don’t do it on Facebook – it’s uncomfortable for everyone … especially him!
- A whole album of photos of just the two of you: It’s one thing if you went on an exotic vacation together and you post the album of your trip, but please refrain from posting every candid shot of the two of you from your weekend at home – save them for your laptop wallpaper.
- Write “Thanks for last night/weekend,” followed by any emoticon, especially a wink: Does this need to be said? This definitely falls under the “it’s a sweet sentiment, but the whole internet does not need to know about it” category.
- Friend his female friends: Unless you actually make friends with any of these girls – do not friend them! If you don’t trust your boyfriend you shouldn’t be with him.
- Share personal or embarrassing anecdotes: Unless he tells you it’s OK – save the teasing for alone time! (
