I celebrated 22 years in radio just this past May and I do mean celebrate because it has been one the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life. In that 22 years I have worked with some of the most amazing talent, made lasting friendships, met my wife Donna and received so much more than I could ever give back.
One of the biggest blessings I have been given in my years is meeting and interacting with listeners. I truly enjoy trying to inform and entertain people. I know that I need music and laughter in my life and try to provide it for you as well.
All of my career has been spent in two places, the first being North Carolina, my home state, and my second home of Florida. First in Melbourne and now Orlando.
When I am not working I am watching television (man I need to find a hobby) I enjoy working out, going to the movies, spending time with the dogs Jack and JD (this is starting to sound like a personal ad) and long walks on the beach (not really)!
I was all set to rally the troops, sound the call to all you great Magic listeners to help find my dog J.D. when the call came in to me...I think I have your dog!!
He was found over a mile away from home and taken care of by two good samaritans that asked me not use their names. My offer of a reward was turned down and when I insisted on paying the vet bill I was told "No it's all taken care of"!
The next time you doubt, remember, God does care and there are still some great people in this world!! I know, I was fortunate enough to be on the receiving end and will forever be grateful. I Am Blessed!!
Should I Stay or Should I Go? A great line from The Clash and a good question to ask when you at the movies.
Ever worry about missing important parts of a movie because you have to use the bathroom?
Well, you never have to worry about that again with the AMC On the Go app, which features RunPee. Got to love that name!
The feature allows allows users to click a button on any movie page and, as the app says, "find the best times to go, so you don’t miss any crucial plot twists or action sequences. It also let's you know what you missed, and if there’s anything after the credits."
If you’re used to getting a good night’s sleep, chances are it doesn’t happen on Sundays.
A new study shows that the absolute worst night of the week to fall asleep is Sunday. That's because you’re changing your sleep schedule after two days of staying up later than usual and you’re more likely to toss and turn because thinking about all the stress from the upcoming week.
So turn in early, turn off those smart phones and tablets, maybe read a book. It’s hard, but do what you can and prepare Sunday afternoon to get 8 hours of shut-eye on Sunday night and the rest of the week will be smooth sailing!
I have been using diatomaceous earth to control fleas on my animals and in my home for a few weeks now and I have to say I like the results and mostly I like it because it's a natural, healthy substitute for chemicals. You can brush it into your animals coats, it is safe to ingest (provided you buy the food grade quality)and inexpensive.
If I said think of the most lucrative songs in music you might bring up artists like Elvis, Led Zeppelin or the Beatles and maybe songs like "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin", "Yesterday", "White Christmas" and "Happy Birthday To You" and you would be right. But apart from just the song itself not one has made more moolah than "Margariitaville"!! I'm not a real parrot head but I do have a lot of respect for Jimmy Buffet and everything he has turned this song into.
